Warm weather and clear skies drew over 500 people from all faiths to the community Church-to-Church Walk last Wednesday evening. The Gillespie County Ministerial Association, who organizes the event, estimates that this was the highest attendance the event has ever had.
Rev. Casey Zesch, of Bethany Lutheran Church, welcomes a large crowd to the Church-to-Church walk. Zesch commented that like the Christmas story, many of the churches would have no room in the inn because of the event’s high attendance. Levi Sisemore, of Fredericksburg Church of Christ, was the first speaker of the evening. Sisemore talked about the Emmanuel, or God with us. Rev. John Nolan, who welcomed people to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, spoke about how special the Church-to- Church walk is, noting how members of all faiths join together for the event.
